Aerial metro sur le Boulevard Auguste-Blanqui – Vintage photo circa 1920

These aren’t Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur that you can see on the background heights…but it’s actually the Butte-aux-Cailles area and its Sainte-Anne Church. A nice overview of a part of the XIIIth arrondissement during the 20’s, with a smoking factory smokestack, and some hotels and other fabric factories settled along the metro line 6. A moving metro can also be noticed on this aerial railway section, not so far from the Glacière station.

Condition :
Good. Nice contrasts. Vertical folding from the top to the bottom of the picture, almost not visible
