Paris World’s Fair 1900 woven silk souvenir, showing the monumental gateway realised by René Binet.

Made by Staron & Meyer, a ribbons and woven paintings manufacturer based in Saint Etienne. But this specimen already moved further than between different french states : a sticker on backside tells us that it has been framed at the Hendrick Hudson hotel in the New York state, probably during the 30s.

Sold framed

Condition :
Fair. Borders glued and nailed on the back for the frame work. Splitted glass maintened with tape. Silk frontside in good condition.
